Benjamin is a project manager in the Education, Training and Consulting Direction of INA. Within the Consulting department, he assists companies and institutions, in France and abroad, on the preservation, digitization and management of their analogue and digital audiovisual heritage.
Since he worked as a sound restorer at the INA Technical department for 13 years before joining the Consulting department in 2014, he’s particularly specialized in the audiovisual archive safeguarding and restoration.
He carried out several assessment missions in film archives and in Radio and TV groups around the world (Rai/Italy, RTV/Serbia, MRTV/Myanmar, UNAH/Honduras, BRTC/Bahrain etc.). He actively participated into the digitization at INA of the 1500 films of the Cuban Noticiero ICAIC collection and supervised the safeguarding of Ecuadorian silent nitrate films rediscovered in Paris.
Benjamin also leads training courses dedicated to the technical aspects of AV heritage preservation for students and professionals at INA or in foreign countries (2M/Morocco, Señal Memoria/Colombia) and often designs tailor-made training programs (workshop for the digitization of 2-inch tapes in RTS/Serbia, training for film technicians in Algeria etc).
